Jennifer Mason, B.A. CST, CRCST

Jennifer Mason is a certified surgical technologist and healthcare professional with 22 years of experience and a passion for patient-centered care, safety, staff development, and process improvement. In her current role as a Surgical Technologist Education and Training Specialist, Jennifer enjoys partnering with physicians, educators, and perioperative teams to support positive patient outcomes and team success. She is especially passionate about mentoring, building strong relationships, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Outside of the OR, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and making memories at Disney. She is also excited to serve as President of the Minnesota State Assembly and advocate for surgical technologists and perioperative professionals across the state.


Jolianne Mohler, B.S. CST,CSFA

Vice President | September 2025 - September 2027

Jolianne Mohler graduated in 1999 from Anoka Hennepin Technical College. She obtained her CSFA in 2003. During her career as a CST, she has worked in a variety of roles, including First Assistant for an Orthopedic Surgeon, Tissue Recovery Coordinator for LifeSource, Clinical Director and full-time faculty for the Saint Paul College Surgical Technologist program, and  works currently at TRIA Bloomington and Woodbury. Orthopedics has always been her passion, emphasizing Joint Replacements and Sports Medicine. Driven by her desire always to be learning, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare and Human Services Management in 2019. She is excited to be a part of the MN State Assembly Board and give back to the profession that has given her so much during her career.


Brenda Pask, CST

Treasurer | September 2025 - September 2027

Brenda graduated in 1997 from Anoka Hennepin Technical College. She has been employed by Alina Health-Mercy Hospital since graduation. She is a tier 2 senior technologist and a lead preceptor for new employees and students. Brenda enjoys the challenges that each case brings and loves teaching. She is interested in advancing the role of the technologist in the OR and pursuing legislation for the profession. When not working Brenda enjoys being at the cabin, scouting, crafting, and being with friends and family.


Lori Molus, CST, FAST, CRCST

Secretary  | April 2026- September 2026

Lori Molus is the Operational Manager of the System Central Sterile Services Department at MHealth Fairview in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has served as a Board of directors and Treasurer and is currently serving her first term as President of the Minnesota State Assembly of Surgical Technologists. Lori received the FAST award in 2017 and recognized this as a respected acknowledgment of her profession as a Surgical Technologist. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical College in 1985. Lori has had a career of 37 years of operating room scrubbing. She has had roles for nine-plus years as a surgical manager-coordinator of supplies, implants, and vendors, working closely with multiple disciplines within healthcare. Lori enjoys teaching, and she has held a position as an adjunct instructor for Rasmussen College. She holds a certification as a sterile processing technician (CRCST). She has served on the MSPA Board and continues to serve on the UMHE planning committee. Patient safety is what drives her passion. She will stand firm in advocating process improvement to minimize patient risk. She has held an elected position for eight years (2012-2020) on the local Minnesota Becker School Board. She and her husband, Greg, have been married for 35 years. They enjoy their three grown children, Matthew (Ellie), Luke (Krista), and Andrea. They love and adore their two grandchildren, Vincent (2021-2021) and Decklyn Jo.


Elisabeth (Beth) Anderson, CST

Director | September 2024 - September 2026

Elisabeth (Beth) Anderson graduated in 2016 from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD. While in school she worked in Sterile Processing and gained valuable insight on how to assist that department while in the OR. Her career started in Rapid City, SD and she moved to the Twin Cities to work at Abbott Northwestern in 2017. In 2020 she started working for a Same Day Surgery Center that specialized in Plastics, ENT, and Ophthalmology. She is currently employed at LifeSource as a Surgical Recovery Coordinator. She has a passion for patient and staff safety and is a strong advocate for education from an Accredited Program. In her free time Beth enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.


Nicole Call, CST

Director | September 2025 - September 2027

Nicole Call is a Certified Surgical Technologist, a recent graduate of Saint Paul College’s Surgical Technology program (Class of 2024). With a professional background that spans healthcare, management, and marketing, she brings a unique blend of clinical insight, strategic thinking, and organizational leadership to her Board of Directors role. Before stepping into healthcare, Nicole built her foundation in management, marketing, and communications, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and developing a knack for understanding how people, ideas, and organizations connect. Her multidisciplinary experience allows her to bridge clinical perspectives with strong operational and communication skills. Now serving in her first board role, Nicole brings a fresh perspective, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting the growth of the Surgical Technology profession. A lifelong learner, she is always pursuing the next skill, certification, or challenge, driven by the belief that curiosity is one of the most powerful tools a leader can have. She is excited to contribute her voice, insight, and adaptability to the board.


Kimberly Xaisongkham, CST

Director | September 2025 - September 2026

Kimberly (Kimi) Xaisongkham (sigh-song-.com) obtained her Surgical Technology degree from Minnesota West Community and Technical College in 2010. With over a decade of experience, including six years as a traveling surgical technologist, she is dedicated to advancing the profession and making a positive impact within the Minnesota State Assembly by promoting education, professional development, and community engagement among surgical technologists. She is the author of Operating on the Go and founder of Unstoppable Scrub, an organization committed to supporting the next generation of surgical and healthcare professionals. In 2025, she participated in her first medical mission trip to Guatemala, an experience that deepened her commitment to global healthcare service and outreach. Outside the operating room, Kimberly enjoys traveling with her companion, spending quality time with her family, exploring new cuisines, and spending time near the water.


Annie Anfinson

Director | April 2026 - September 2027

Annie Anfinson is a Certified Surgical Technologist with 16 years of experience working at Aspirus Lake View Hospital. Her work in rural health settings has focused on patient care, teamwork, and excellence in the operating room as well as sterile processing and supply management. Before entering the medical field, Annie worked as a math teacher, where she developed strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Her background in education continues to influence her approach to mentoring, collaboration, and attention to detail in healthcare settings. Annie is excited to use her technical skill and passion for education to help bring continued growth and recognition to the field of Surgical technology.


Erin  Nickell

Director | April 2026 - September 2026

Erin is a Certified Surgical Technologist who graduated from Northland Community and Technical College in 2024. Shortly after graduation, she began working at University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank on the night shift, where she spent over a year scrubbing a wide range of surgical specialties. She now works on the day shift, specializing in transplant surgery, organ procurements, oncology, plastics, and bariatrics. Passionate about patient safety and delivering the highest standard of care, Erin is dedicated to improving processes, strengthening communication, and fostering teamwork within the operating room environment. Her commitment to collaboration and efficiency reflects a strong belief that exceptional surgical care depends on both technical skill and a united healthcare team. Before transitioning into healthcare, she spent a decade working in the mortgage industry, bringing a diverse professional background and strong interpersonal skills into their surgical career. As a board member, she is committed to advocating for certification standards for Minnesota surgical technologists and supporting the best possible outcomes for all patients. Outside of work, Erin enjoys dancing, as well as finding opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
